Excel-based Green Factor Method calculation tool (xlsm-file), that works through macros. Macros enable for example easy transitions between sheets with a single button. Usage of macros must be allowed when opening the tool, to ensure that the tool works as intended.
The tool consists of six sheets: Instructions, Specifications, Green factor, Score, Additional information and iWater stormwater solutions. It is recommended to move between sheets by using the macro buttons (for example Start, Instructions, Next and Previous) that are embedded in the file.
The Instructions sheet contains valuable information on the usage of this tool. There are also descriptions of contents and key concepts. It is recommended that new users start working with the tool by reading the instructions.
In calculation, Specifications and Green factor sheets are used.
Additional information sheet has information on different factors and how they are emphasized in calculation. Score sheet contains the summary of calculation. It is possible to print out the summary in A4 size. The score sheet has the results in numeric format, such as reached green factor, target level and factors used. Calculation results are also displayed graphically. If the target level for green factor is not met, the tool gives a warning. Likewise, a warning is given if certain factors are missing from the calculation. Based on selected factors the internal review gives possible recommendations to be taken into account in planning phaze.
